Chicken Pot Pie
Crust:
1 cup shortening
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup cold water
Mix shortening, flour and salt. Add water and mix as little as possible. Roll out four crusts.
Pie:
Place in crust:
1 cup cooked chicken or turkey
3/4 cup thawed frozen hash browns
1 cup thawed frozen mixed vegetables
In a saucepan, melt 1/3 cup of butter. Add 1/3 cup of flour. Add 1 and 3/4 cups chicken broth and 2/3 cup milk. Stir until thickened. Pour goo over pie and cover with other crust.
Bake in a 400 degree oven for 30 minutes. Let sit for 10 minutes.

Can't wait to try this delicious dish! Thank you for taking the time to post your recipes. Yummy chocolate chip cookies (It's got to be the extra egg yolk and Tbsp. of vanilla!) I will be visting this blog weekly for inspiration on meals. Thanks Julie!
