This recipe is from Williams Sonona. It makes absolutely perfect dough every single time--never sticky or crumbly, just like Play-Doh. This recipe makes about 8 dozen small cookies.
In a large bowl, mix:
5 c flour
1/2 t baking soda
1 T ground ginger
4 t cinnamon
1 1/2 t salt
1/2 c brown sugar
1/2 c sugar
In a medium bowl, mix:
2 sticks melted butter
1 c molasses
1 egg
Combine wet and dry ingredients. Chill dough. Roll out between 2 sheets of waxed paper. Cut with cookie cutters. Bake on parchment paper for 6 minutes at 350.
You have stumbled upon the repository for all of the recipes that I've made (at least) once and think I'd like to make again someday.
